REDUCE YOUR RELIANCE ON FOSSIL FUELS WITH GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

As a cost-effective solution for decreasing your reliance on fossil fuels, geothermal systems are the most efficient way to heat and cool your home. Geothermal systems use the power of thermal energy, which is generated and stored in the Earth. Clean and sustainable, geothermal systems can easily be integrated into your existing HVAC system.

Our Geothermal Well Expertise Includes…

GROUNDWATER SYSTEMS:

For more than 40 years, groundwater systems (open loop) have been utilizing natural heat by drawing water from an aquifer through a supply well. That water passes through the heat exchanger in the geothermal heat pump where the heat is exchanged with the refrigerant inside your unit. The heat is then returned to the aquifer via a return well or disposed of in accordance with local codes. Because the temperature of groundwater stays constant throughout the year regardless of the season, your geothermal unit is able to maintain its energy efficiency. Ideally suited for homes that have existing wells, installation costs for this system are usually lower when groundwater is available.

VERTICAL SYSTEMS:

Like open-loop groundwater systems, vertical systems (closed loop) utilize the same natural heat in a similar way. But instead of pumping water out of the well and back into the ground, vertical systems simply circulate the water or antifreeze solution through a closed network of plastic pipes inserted into vertical bore holes. These holes are usually drilled 100 to 300 feet deep for every ton of A/C or heating. As with groundwater systems, the water is kept at a constant temperature despite varying outside temperatures. The vertical system is well-suited for areas that have limited land available.

If you’re ready to use the earth’s natural heat to keep your indoor temperature comfortable, heat your water, and lower your energy costs, call Water Central in Egg Harbor City, NJ, at 609-957-5750 today for a free water test.
